As schools prepare to open again for a new academic year our own schedule of events is filling up. September looks like being a very busy month with the following events planned:

13th September – Our Annual mass will be held in St. Fiacre’s Church, Loughboy at 10.30am. Tea/coffee afterwards in the Parish Centre.

18th September – Professor Mark Morgan will be our guest speaker in the Clubhouse Hotel at 11.30am. The theme of his talk will be “Maintaining Cognitive and Social Strengths.” Mark is formerly of St.Patrick’s College. He spoke at the National Convention of RTA and has a lot of interesting things to say. I would highly recommend you attend.

25th September – Our monthly lunch in the Clubhouse Hotel at 12.30 pm

29th September – “The 6 Marys” a play by Jean Farrell who is Chair of the Athlone Branch of RTA will be performed in Cleere’s Theatre. More information later.

Computer Classes: Beginners and Intermediate classes will be held in Kilkenny Education Centre. 6 weeks in total from mid- September to the end of October. More information later.
