On Wednesday, 9th September, we held our Annual Mass for retired teachers in St. Fiacre’s Church. There was a very large attendance of members and the hymns were beautifully sung by our local retired teachers choir. Following Mass we repaired to the Springhill Court Hotel for tea/coffee and scones. There were over 60 retired teachers in attendance and the conversation was mighty.
This was a special day for our member, Máire Magner, as she celebrated her 90th birthday and this was marked with a presentation, a special birthday cake, many good wishes and birthday cards. We wish Máire many more years of health and active retirement.
