1st September Outing
There was not much interest in going on a trip to celebrate the 1st of September or on holiday options. A couple of us are going to the matinee performance of ‘Billy Elliot ‘ the musical, in the Bord Gais theatre on the 1st September. We are going to travel by train. The performance starts at 2.30 p.m. and will be over in time for train home. If anyone is interested in coming give me a call-087-6742884 ( there seems to be plenty availability of tickets).
Annual Mass.
Our Annual mass is in St.Fiacre’s Church, Loughboy on Thursday 15th September at 10.30 a.m. followed by tea/coffee in the Coffee Dock. Please spread the word and all retired teachers are welcome. There may be some retired ASTI or TUI members who might like to join us.
Computer Classes.
Is there anyone else who would like to make up numbers for a computer class–upgrade your skills. Classes suitable for beginners and those who wish to advance their knowledge and skills. Classes will include file management including photo management, email, Facebook etc. Classes begin in Kilkenny Education Centre on 28th September at 10.30 am.
Financial Advice.
On Monday 26th September we will have a speaker on financial matters at 11.30.a.m. More details to follow.
Annual General Meeting and Christmas lunch will be on the 1st.December.( Put the date in your diary).
REMINDER. Monthly lunch.
Next Monday, 29th August, is our monthly lunch and catch up chat. I am looking forward to catching up after the summer.
